Jaissle said the club will decide over the next two days whether the two can be in the squad. He said the club did not want to take any additional risk with the two players. Jaissle said: “These two players are still doubtful.”
Jaissle said Tino Livramento is working hard in rehab and he hopes to have him back soon.
Newcastle said more than 7,700 away fans are travelling, and Jaissle referred to 8,000 supporters.
Everton’s build-up
Read Everton, a fan site, reported that Everton beat Wolves 1-0 in the third round, with Charly Alcaraz scoring the goal. That result put Everton into the fourth round.
The site also reported that Jarrad Branthwaite missed the Arsenal game under concussion protocols, Jack Grealish was absent through illness and Mykolenko went off in the second half at Arsenal. Their availability for Thursday had not been confirmed.
Read Everton also quoted Merlin Röhl as saying Everton would go “100 per cent” in the cup.
Two meetings in four days
